National Museum of the United States Air Force

If you have ever been to the Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C., you will likely be impressed.  However, believe it or not, the National Museum of United States Air Force is much better.  We had friends visiting us from Australia who visited both.  By far they felt that the Air Force Museum was head and shoulders more fascinating than either of the two museums that make up the Air and Space Museum.  They are not the only ones who thought the museum was incredible.  Check out the myriad of super reviews at trip advisor:

The Air Force Museum is free to the public and has great hours for everyone:

Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year's Day
FREE admission!
Blue line
Museum Location
1100 Spaatz Street
Wright-Patterson AFB OH 45433 (near Dayton)

There are also special events on a regular basis.  And don’t forget the personal tour you can have visiting one of the several Air Force One planes set-up for public view.

The museum is huge with airplanes from just about every period of time, including an incredible display with history about the Wright Brothers.

When you are ready for a break from walking around the massive museum there is also an IMAX and a terrific gift store.  If you are going to visit Dayton, the Air Force Museum is a must visit!

What do you think about the museum?....share your thoughts and experiences with us here.

Enjoy!!!!
